Join us for a relaxed and rewarding introduction to one of the most elegant pastries — the French macaron.
In this three-hour class, we’ll guide you through the essential techniques behind these delicate treats, with a focus on understanding the process and building confidence along the way. From mixing to piping, you’ll learn how small details come together to create smooth shells, defined feet, and beautiful results.
We’ll begin with a live demonstration, where Amanda will walk you through the macaronage process and share her approach to achieving the ideal consistency — along with the subtle cues that make all the difference.
Then it’s your turn to step in.
With hands-on guidance throughout, you’ll mix and pipe your own batch of macaron shells while learning how to recognize each stage with confidence. While your shells are resting and baking, you’ll work with pre-prepared shells to learn filling, pairing, and assembly using a classic filling from our menu.
You’ll head home with a box of finished macarons, your own piped shells, and a clear understanding of how to approach macarons in your own kitchen.
To continue building your skills, this class is part of our Macaron Collection — a series designed to guide you from foundations through flavour, finishing, and more advanced techniques. You’re warmly invited to continue your learning with us as your confidence grows.
For those who would like to continue practicing at home, we’ll also have a thoughtfully prepared macaron kit available during class. Designed to support your first bakes with ease, each kit includes the ingredients and essentials needed to create two full batches of macarons — giving you the opportunity to build confidence and refine your technique with the same approach we’ve shared in class.
All tools and materials and recipes are included, and your creations will be carefully boxed for travel.
